Kenzen (San Francisco, Calif.) was founded in 2014 and the Echo is based on technology developed for aerospace and medical research in Switzerland and the sensors analyze biomarkers such as sodium and potassium, all from a single bead of sweat. This is combined with inertial sensors to predict and prevent injuries and illness.
The patch is equipped with Bluetooth LE to communicate with an iOS, Android or Windows Phone.
