The components support a range of energy sources including: photovoltaic, thermal, vibration and RF.

The commercially available AEM10940 will soon be followed by the AEM10941 and AEM30940.

The AEM10940 features a boost converter with an efficiency of up to 94 percent with voltage references, energy management circuitry and LDO regulators. In addition to the converter efficiency, the product also has a cold start capability at an input voltage of 380mV and an input power of just 11microwatts.

“Fujitsu has been supplying the market with FRAM for metering applications for many years. We therefore have a thorough understanding of the challenges involved in powering applications with an operational life of ten years and more. Thanks to the expansion of our portfolio to include E-peas products, we can now offer a high-quality alternative to batteries and cable-based power supply,” said Axel Tripkewitz, managing director of FEEU.

Various synergies arise between the products offered by E-peas and FEEU’s existing portfolio, which includes FRAM as well as microcontrollers, RTCs and Bluetooth LE chips from Ambiq Micro.
