Nokia, Bosch form partnership for industrial IoT

Wireless connectivity company Nokia Oy (Espoo, Finland) has announced the formation of a strategic partnership with Bosch Connected Devices and Solutions GmbH, a division of Robert Bosch that will focus on industrial IoT.

The idea is to combine sensor systems from Bosch with Nokia connectivity to create hardware, software and services platforms for industrial IoT. Focus areas will include logistics automation and tracking, environmental control and industrial automation.

The first Nokia-Bosch offering in this area will be available early in 2018, Nokia said.
