Ultrahaptics raises £35 million in Series C
The round, which Ultrahaptics states was oversubscribed, brings the amount invested in the company since its formation in 2013 to about $85 million. Ultrahaptics said the latest tranche of money would be used to support product development and business-to-business engagement across the world and industry sectors.
The round was led by Mayfair Equity Partners with new investors including Hostplus. Exisiting shareholders also participated.
Ultrahaptics has developed concept automobiles with Bosch and audio provider Harman as well as industrial controls; medical interfaces; and augmented reality/virtual reality games and enterprise applications.
