NAND flash sales dropped in 1Q18

Global NAND flash sales dropped by 3 percent quarter-over-quarter in 1Q18 due to seasonality, according to market research firm TrendForce.

The total revenue was about $15.74 billion split between Samsung, Toshiba, Western Digital, Micron, SK Hynix and others.

TrendForce expects contract prices for memory card and SSD products to keep falling in 2Q18 since the market is in slight oversupply.
