The security IP block has been developed and validated by Silex Insight and is available for licensing as a piece of FPGA intellectual property. It can be used for secure key management and cryptographic processing, Silex said.

The hardware IP comes with a software stack containing the HSM firmware, HSM driver code and an optional interface for allowing AUTOSAR integration.

“Through our collaboration with Silex Insight, we’re able to deliver a complete HSM IP core for the Zynq UltraScale+ portfolio and provide our customers with a competitive advantage in the automotive industry, supporting ISO26262 standards.”  said Willard Tu, senior director of Automotive at Xilinx, in a statement released by Silex.

Silex added that the two companies will collaborate on secure communications, especially for the enterprise and automotive markets.
