China-owned Nexperia refinanced with $1.5 billion
Nexperia BV (Nijmegen, The Netherlands), a manufacturer of discretes, simple logic and MOSFET devices, has raised $1.5 billion of credit facilities to refinance its debt and to pay for its acquisition by Wingtech Technologies Co. Ltd.

Wingtech is a contract manufacturer for Chinese smartphone companies including Huawei Technologies and Xiaomi Corp, and it was announced it would buy Nexperia in October 2018 (see Chinese firm to buy Nexperia for $3.6 billion ).

The line of credit has been arranged and underwritten by ABN AMRO, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and HSBC and was syndicated to a group of twelve global banks in total. The refinancing also supports the Nexperia's plans for growth.

Nexperia has more than 11,000 employees across Asia, Europe and the U.S, has an extensive IP portfolio and is certified to IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
