Microphone vendor Knowles Corp. (Itasca, Illinois) can supply an AI-enabled True Wireless Stereo development platform.

This includes pre-tuned and pre-configured earbuds designed by Knowles paired with a powerful Bluetooth-enabled processing platform. The earbuds contain Knowles SiSonic MEMS microphone arrays, voice vibration sensors, and a choice of premium speaker driver assemblies.

The earbuds include Everest digital microphones and a choice of balanced armature speakers including tweeter/woofer combinations.

The platform allows deveolopers to add such features as active noise cancellation (ANC), ambient mode, high definition (HD) audio, voice command, voice call algorithms, and AI-enabled conversation enhancement.

The processing platform is based on Knowles' IA8201 audio edge processor, Sony's CXD3781 codec and a Bluetooth audio system-on-chip (SoC).

The development kit provides the hardware needed and allows developers to tune their own or third-party software for performance and power consumption.

Knowles has partnered with Alango Technologies, an audio DSP provider. Alango's voice communications package (VCP) supports multi-microphone beamforming and it also supports only-voice filtering.

The kit also includes AITransparency+ from Chatable. This uses AI to enhance conversational speech, by selective acoustic enhancement of conversation cues without perceptible delay.
