Agile Analog is led by two former senior executives with ARM Ltd. and is looking to automate the design, customization and delivery of analog intellectual property (IP) for use in integrated circuits.
Agile Analog has adopted artificial intelligence methods and claims it can replace many traditionally manual analog design techniques with artificial intelligence processes to speed up the productivity and raise the abstraction of analog IP design.
"Agile Analog is changing the status quo by addressing the long-standing inefficiencies in creating and delivering analog circuits across process technologies," said Yassaie, in a statement. He added: "There is no doubt in my mind that Agile Analog is set to disrupt the semiconductor industry."
Yassaie is well-known in the semiconductor sector, but he was forced to step-down as CEO of graphics core licensor Imagination Technologies Group plc in 2016. He now has a number of non-executive directorships, chairmanships and investments in technology companies.
"We are proud to have Sir Hossein Yassaie on our team. He brings a wealth of experience and an unrivalled industry network to Agile Analog ," said Tim Ramsdale, CEO of Agile Analog, in the same statement.
"As former competitors go Sir Hossein was both tough and creative, so I'm looking forward to working with him at Agile Analog," said Pete Hutton, chairman of Agile Analog and former president of product groups at ARM.
