Imagination appoints former BT boss to the board
Intellectual property licensor Imagination Technologies Ltd. (Kings Langley, England) has appointed Sir Peter Bonfield as a non-executive director.

Sir Peter began his career with Texas Instruments in Bedford before going on to lead ICL and British Telecommunications. He is currently chairman of the board of directors NXP Semiconductors NV (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) and has been a director of foundry TSMC since 2002. He has also served on the boards of Sony, Mentor Graphics and Ericsson.

Ray Bingham, executive chairman and interim-CEO at Imagination, said: "Sir Peter joined Texas Instruments in 1966 just seven years after Jack Kilby invented the integrated circuit and he continues to be very influential today both through his roles as a board member on some of the world’s largest electronics companies and advisor to startups and private equity firms."
