Keyssa, founded 2009 as Waveconnex, has raised more than $47 million from Intel and Samsung amongst others and was using the money to develop a wireless ‘connector’ that transmits data at up to 6-Gbits per second.

“Together with Fresco Logic, Pcase, Sure-Fire and Phison, we are pleased to introduce a simple and cost-effective solution built on Keyssa’s Kiss Connectivity to instantly transfer huge amounts of data and video between devices with virtually no battery drain,” said Eric Almgren, CEO of Keyssa, in a statement.

Keyssa did not describe the product in any detail nor say when it would be available. It could be that it is a form of Kiss-connected wireless memory stick that can accept data from Kiss-enabled computers and phones.

Keyssa is due to present at the Flash Memory Summit coming up August 9 to 11.
