Startup raises funds to finish security processors
Security processor company Axiado Corp. (San Jose, Calif.) has raised $20 million in a Series B round of financing. The round was led by Series A investor Orbit Venture Partners.

The company was founded in 2017 and is seeking to address digital security and root of trust by way of secure processor and AI systems. The processor uses an AI engine to continuously learn and help protect from future attacks.

Gopri Sirineni, CEO of Axiado, said the funding would be used to "productize" the company's technology and address applications in the cloud data center, 5G base station, network security, and IoT markets.

The latest round brings the amount raised by Axiado to $33 million. It received its Series A in 2018. The money will provide working capital to finish developing its intelligent security processors, the company said.
