
The world's leading foundry Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Hsinchu, Taiwan) saw its November sales climb year-on-year by 15.7 percent to NT$124.86 billion (about US$4.42 billion). This was up sequentially by 4.7 percent.
November sales at near neighbour United Microelectronics Corp. were NT$14.73 billion (about US$522 million), up 6.0 percent year-on-year and down 3.6 percent sequentially.
TSMC's sales for the year to date are NT$1,222 billion (about US$43.3 billion), up 26.4 percent on the first 11 months of 2019.
UMC is also doing well with annual sales-to-date of NT$166.6 billion (about US$5.72 billion), up 19.8 percent on the equivalent period in 2019.
