Taiwan's foundries maintain strong sales in November
Taiwanese foundries TSMC and UMC both enjoyed modest annual growth in sales revenues in November similar in percentage terms to October.

The world's leading foundry Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. (Hsinchu, Taiwan) saw its November sales climb year-on-year by 15.7 percent to NT$124.86 billion (about US$4.42 billion). This was up sequentially by 4.7 percent.

November sales at near neighbour United Microelectronics Corp. were NT$14.73 billion (about US$522 million), up 6.0 percent year-on-year and down 3.6 percent sequentially.

TSMC's sales for the year to date are NT$1,222 billion (about US$43.3 billion), up 26.4 percent on the first 11 months of 2019.

UMC is also doing well with annual sales-to-date of NT$166.6 billion (about US$5.72 billion), up 19.8 percent on the equivalent period in 2019.
