XMOS finds funds to pursue AI in IoT

The XMOS funding is a mix of equity funding – with participation from existing investors – and a venture debt facility with Harbert European Growth Capital.

Past investors in XMOS include Infineon Technologies, Huawei, Amadeus Capital, Robert Bosch Venture Capital and Foundation Capital.

The money is earmarked to pay for additional staff in the Hong Kong office and help the company capitalize on expertise it has in the far-field voice interface market. The funding will also support the development of XMOS’ AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) portfolio.

"This increased investment will be a major part of the growth of the company as we ramp up the rollout of our exceptional XVF3510 two-mic voice interface and accelerate our AIoT roadmap," said Mark Lippett, CEO of XMOS, in a statement.
